كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ
Thamud denied, out of their own overstepping. The commentaries agree the one denied was their messenger Salih, and that it was their overstepping that carried them into the denial.
اب اسی مضمون پر ایک قوم کی مثال دی جاتی ہے: ثمود نے اپنے رسول حضرت صالح علیہ السلام کو جھٹلایا۔ ”بِطَغْوَاہَا“ میں ”ب“ سببیت کے لیے ہے، یعنی اپنی سرکشی اور نافرمانی میں حد سے گزر جانے کے سبب۔ گویا انہیں جھٹلانے پر دلیل کی کمی نے نہیں، ان کی اپنی سرکشی نے آمادہ کیا۔
