وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا
And the moon when it follows it. The commentaries agree the following is the moon coming up as the sun goes down, and taking its light and its stations from it.
اور چاند کی قسم جب وہ اس کے پیچھے آئے۔ ”تَلَا“ کے معنی ہی پیچھے آنے کے ہیں؛ چاند اپنی روشنی سورج سے لیتا ہے اور مقرر منزلوں پر چلتا ہے، سورج غروب ہوتا ہے تو وہ نکل آتا ہے۔ یوں دن کی بڑی نشانی کے بعد رات کی نشانی اس کے تابع ہو کر آتی ہے۔
