ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
The one who called it a lie and turned away. The commentaries agree the two go together - denying the message, then turning his back on it - and that this pair is what the sura has set against giving and being mindful of God.
وہ جس نے رسول کی لائی ہوئی بات کو جھٹلایا اور ایمان و اطاعت سے منہ موڑ لیا۔ یعنی اس نے زبان کی تکذیب اور عمل کی رو گردانی، دونوں کو جمع کر لیا۔ یہ دو وصف اُس دینے والے، ڈرنے والے اور تصدیق کرنے والے کے دو وصفوں کے بالکل مقابل ہیں۔
