وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
And as for the one who asks, do not drive him off. The commentaries gloss the word as scolding him away, and they take the asking to cover both the one asking for help and the one asking to be taught; where there is nothing to give, he is still to be turned away kindly.
اور سائل کو نہ جھڑکیے، یعنی نہ اس پر سختی کیجیے اور نہ درشت لہجہ اختیار کیجیے۔ ”سائل“ میں وہ بھی داخل ہے جو مال مانگے اور وہ بھی جو علم اور کوئی مسئلہ پوچھے۔ اگر اس کی حاجت پوری کر سکیں تو کر دیجیے، اور اگر نہ کر سکیں تو نرمی کے ساتھ معذرت کیجیے — جھڑکنا بہرحال نہیں۔
