أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ
Does he not know that God sees? Both traditions gloss the seeing as knowing what he did and repaying him for it, and they read this question as the point the whole passage turns on.
”کیا اس نے یہ نہیں جانا کہ اللہ دیکھ رہا ہے؟“ یعنی کیا اسے معلوم نہیں کہ جو کچھ وہ کر رہا ہے اللہ اس پر مطلع ہے، اس سے کچھ چھپا نہیں، اور وہ اسے اس کا بدلہ دے گا؟ یہ پچھلی شرطوں کا جواب ہے۔ جسے یہ یقین ہو کہ اسے دیکھا جا رہا ہے، وہ ایسی حرکت پر جما نہیں رہ سکتا۔
