ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ
Read: and your Lord is the Most Generous. Both traditions take the second command as confirming the first, and gloss the name as one that no generous being stands level with.
پڑھیے، اور آپ کا رب سب سے بڑھ کر کریم ہے، جس کے کرم کو کوئی کریم نہیں پہنچتا۔ ”اِقْرَاْ“ کا حکم دوبارہ تاکید کے لیے آیا، اور اِس بار اس کے ساتھ کرم کا وصف لایا گیا۔ پہلی بار قدرت کا بیان تھا اور اِس بار جود و سخا کا: یعنی نہ عاجزی مانع ہے اور نہ بخل رکاوٹ۔
