كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ
No indeed - man oversteps. Both traditions read the turn the same way: everything just listed was given to him, and what he returns for it is not thanks but going past the limit.
یہاں ”کَلَّا“ بمعنی ”حقًا“ (یقیناً) ہے۔ بیشک انسان سرکشی کرتا ہے، یعنی اپنی حد سے بڑھ جاتا اور اپنے رب کی مقرر کی ہوئی حدیں پھلانگ جاتا ہے۔ نعمت کے بیان کے بعد اس کے مقابل ناشکری کا بیان آیا، کیونکہ یہی سرکشی وہ مرض ہے جس کا علاج باقی سورت کر رہی ہے۔
