سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ
Peace it is, until the break of dawn. Both traditions carry the two senses together: the night is peace all through, with no evil in it, and it is full of the greeting of peace given by the angels who come down in it, from the moment they descend until the dawn breaks.
”سلامتی ہے وہ رات، فجر طلوع ہونے تک۔“ یعنی وہ سراسر سلامتی اور امن ہے، اس میں کوئی شر اور کوئی اذیت نہیں، شروع سے لے کر طلوعِ فجر تک۔ اس نام کی ایک وجہ یہ بھی بیان کی گئی ہے کہ اس رات فرشتے اہلِ ایمان پر کثرت سے سلام بھیجتے ہیں۔ اور یوں یہ سورت اُس بہترین انجام پر ختم ہوتی ہے جو اُس رات کے شایانِ شان ہے جس میں ہدایت اتری۔
