إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ
Those who refused, from the People of the Book and from those who set up partners with God, are in the fire of Hell, staying in it. They are the worst of creatures. The commentaries gloss the last word as the whole of what God has made, so that the verdict is set against everything created.
بیشک اہلِ کتاب اور مشرکین میں سے جنہوں نے کفر کیا، وہ جہنم کی آگ میں ہوں گے، اسی میں رہنے والے۔ یہاں علم کا دعویٰ کرنے والے اور نہ کرنے والے کو برابر رکھا گیا، کیونکہ بیان آ جانے کے بعد انکار تو ایک ہی جیسا ہے۔ اور انہیں ”شَرُّ الْبَرِیَّۃ“ یعنی تمام مخلوق میں بدترین کہا گیا، اس لیے کہ انہوں نے حجت واضح ہو جانے کے بعد انکار کیا۔
