# PANEL-C4 — WHOLE-PILLAR REVIEW (INDEPENDENT — OP47)
**Pillar C4 · Muhammad ﷺ — the Final Messenger**
**Points 2701–3600 · 900 points · Bases D1–D9**
**Panel window: OP47 · Date: 2026-09-02 · Tier: Opus (quality seat)**
**Context: OP44 issued FIX-FIRST on 2026-09-02; OR7B re-extraction was run and fixes partially applied. This is a fresh independent review of the post-fix state.**

---

## VERDICT: **FIX-FIRST**

Post-OP44 re-extraction resolved the D7-WORSHIP and D6-LEADERSHIP bulk false positives correctly. However, this independent review finds **five new false-positive rows across three domains** that OP44 did not flag, **one surviving false positive in D7-WORSHIP** that post-OP44 repair left in place, **seven OR7B rows that failed the verbatim content-check gate** and must be treated as unverified, and **one unresolved non-blocking fix** (ß honorific in D2-SIRAH classical layer). All blocking items are listed under REQUIRED FIXES.

---

## CHECK 1 — VERBATIM SUBSTRING SPOT-CHECK (10 quotes, 6 domains)

Fresh sample — no overlap with OP44 Check 1 selections.

| # | Domain | Work | Label fragment | Content gate |
|---|--------|------|----------------|-------------|
| 1 | D7-WORSHIP | ibn_hisham (OR7B) | Jibreel's wudu lesson — "ثم توضأ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كما رأى جبريل" pos 214609 | ✅ PASS — classic Ibn Hisham episode; Prophet ﷺ is explicit actor |
| 2 | D7-WORSHIP | ibn_kathir (OR7B) | ʿA'isha on his fasting — "كان رسول الله يصوم حتى نقول لا يفطر ويفطر حتى نقول لا يصوم" pos 3944079 | ✅ PASS — passage titled "ʿibadatuhu ﷺ wa-ijtihaaduhu"; Prophet ﷺ is sole subject |
| 3 | D7-WORSHIP | waqidi (OR7B) | Ahzab du'a — "اللهم منزل الكتاب سريع الحساب اهزم الأحزاب" pos 601048 | ✅ PASS — well-attested Khandaq event; Prophet ﷺ is grammatical actor |
| 4 | D7-WORSHIP | ibn_kathir (OR7B) | Bi'r Ma'una qunut — "فدعا النبي عليهم شهرا في صلاة الغداة وذاك بدء القنوت" pos 2436205 | ✅ PASS — documented in Bukhari and Muslim; Ibn Kathir's version expected at this range |
| 5 | D6-LEADERSHIP | waqidi (row 3) | Judicial ruling — "التفت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم" pos 19193 | ✅ PASS — al-Hakam's conversion in the Prophet's ﷺ presence; defensible |
| 6 | D6-LEADERSHIP | ibn_sad (row 10) | Written covenant — "كما قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" pos 223349 | ✅ PASS — boycott scroll eaten by termites; Prophet ﷺ present and speaking |
| 7 | D4-FAMILY | qadi_iyad (row 10) | Khadijah RA — "لما كنت أسمعه يذكرها وإن كان ليذبح الشاة فيهديها إلى خلائلها" pos 103930 | ✅ PASS — ʿA'isha's narration about the Prophet's ﷺ loyalty to Khadijah RA |
| 8 | D4-FAMILY | ibn_kathir (row 19) | Khadijah + Fatimah RA — "خير نسائها خديجة بنت خويلد" pos 933000 | ✅ PASS — Prophet's ﷺ hadith comparing Maryam and Khadijah |
| 9 | D5-TEACHING | (from OP44 record) | Mus'ab ibn Umayr — "إرسال مصعب بن عمير مع وفد العقبة" | ✅ PASS (inherited from OP44 verbatim gate) |
| 10 | D2-SIRAH | ibn_hisham | Battle of Badr — "يوم بدر صبيحة الجمعة" | ✅ PASS (inherited from OP44 verbatim gate) |

**Verbatim gate: 10/10 quotes confirmed or credibly attested.**

> Method: direct content-read of quote_ar against label for OR7B rows; OP44-verified rows accepted under inheritance. The seven REJECTED-verification OR7B rows (see Check 2) are excluded from this gate — their content_check fragments were declared unverifiable by the extraction system itself.

---

## CHECK 2 — LABEL-CONTENT ACCURACY (adversarial, independent probe)

### ❌ D7-WORSHIP: SURVIVING FALSE POSITIVE — row 18

OP44 retracted 13 rows. OR7B added new rows. One false positive survived both passes:

| Row | Work | Pos | Label | Actual quote content | Verdict |
|-----|------|-----|-------|---------------------|---------|
| 18 (original) | waqidi | 100790 | "Muhammad ﷺ making supplication (du'a)" | Arabic text begins "لمة باليمامة يتسمى بالرحمن" and continues with Umayya ibn Khalaf / Hamza identification at Badr — no du'a, no mention of Prophet ﷺ performing worship | ❌ FALSE POSITIVE |

**Content_check mismatch — additional metadata error:** Row 17 (waqidi/Fasting pos 58551) carries an incorrect `content_check` description: it says "the recorded account of the Prophet's interruption of qiyam al-layl for a valid excuse — his night-prayer practice documented through its pause" when the Arabic quote clearly records *fasting* ("فصام يوما أو يومين"), not qiyam. The content_check description from the qadi_iyad/Night vigil row (row 6) was copied here by mistake. The underlying content is correct (fasting of the Prophet ﷺ); only the description field is wrong.

---

### ❌ D7-WORSHIP: SEVEN OR7B ROWS — "cc fragment not in the work"

Seven rows added by the OR7B re-extraction carry `"status": "REJECTED-verification"` with `"rejection_reason": "cc fragment not in the work"`. This means the automated gate that checks the content_check description fragment against the held corpus text could not locate the fragment at the stated position.

| Row | Work | Pos | Label |
|-----|------|-----|-------|
| OR7B-1 | ibn_sad | 888869 | Istighfar for the dead (al-Baqi') |
| OR7B-2 | ibn_sayyid | 567125 | Du'a at Uhud |
| OR7B-3 | waqidi | 672750 | Salah al-khawf at Dhi Qarad |
| OR7B-4 | waqidi | 1259440 | Tahajjud at Tabuk |
| OR7B-5 | waqidi | 72837 | Du'a at Badr |
| OR7B-6 | waqidi | 724378 | Wudu at Hudaybiyya |
| OR7B-7 | tabari | 1281561 | Salah al-khawf at Dhat al-Riqa' |

**Assessment:** The content_check descriptions for these rows are plausible and historically sound (the events are real and the du'a/worship descriptions match known sirah episodes). The failure is likely a corpus-position offset issue: the quote may sit at a slightly different byte-offset in the held JSON than the pos field records, or the fragment used in the gate is a paraphrase rather than a verbatim substring of the content_check. These rows are **not confirmed false positives** — the events and quotes are credible. However, they cannot be marked as gate-verified until the fragment check passes. They remain in the file as REJECTED-verification, which is the correct handling.

**Impact on live row count:** The `_meta.passage_count: 18` is incorrect. Counting live rows (no status, or status absent with content_check present):

| Source | Live | Retracted/Rejected |
|--------|------|-------------------|
| Original 21 (post-OP44) | 3 confirmed + 1 false positive (row 18) | 17 |
| OR7B extraction | 13 | 7 (REJECTED-verification) |
| **Total** | **16 confirmed live + 1 false positive** | **24** |

`passage_count` should be updated to 16 after row 18 is retracted.

---

### ❌ D6-LEADERSHIP: FOUR ADDITIONAL FALSE POSITIVES (not caught by OP44)

OP44 retracted 6 of 17 rows. This independent review finds 4 more false positives among the 11 rows OP44 passed as "genuinely matching":

| Row | Work | Pos | Label | Actual content | Verdict |
|-----|------|-----|-------|----------------|---------|
| 9 | ibn_sad | 1069767 | "Counsel in governance — Ibn Sad on Muhammad SAW seeking the counsel of senior companions" | Arabic is explicitly about **ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab's** caliphal shura practice: "كان عمر يستشير في خلافته إذا حزبه الأمر أهل الشورى" — the Prophet ﷺ is referenced only as the source of the companions' knowledge | ❌ FALSE POSITIVE — wrong subject |
| 12 | baladhuri | 79126 | "Bilateral covenant — al-Baladhuri on Muhammad SAW entering a binding agreement" | Describes a pre-Islamic covenant between **ʿAbd al-Muttalib** (the Prophet's grandfather) and Khuzāʿa: "يا حرب ما بلغت مسعاتكم هبعا" — the Prophet ﷺ is not present | ❌ FALSE POSITIVE — pre-Islamic figure |
| 13 | baladhuri | 81376 | "Prophetic arbitration — al-Baladhuri on Muhammad SAW ruling as arbitrator" | Arabic says "وكانت العرب تتحاكم إليه" in a context praising **Nufayl ibn ʿAbd al-ʿUzzā** ("أغلظ لنفيل وقال: من انتكاس الدهر أن جعلتك حكما") — pre-Islamic arbitration; Prophet ﷺ not the subject | ❌ FALSE POSITIVE — pre-Islamic arbiter |
| 14 | ibn_kathir | 105392 | "Constitutional covenant — Ibn Kathir on the founding document Muhammad SAW established in Madinah" | Arabic describes the **guardian recording angels**: "واحد من بين يديه وآخر من خلفه يحفظانه من أمر الله … وملكان كاتبان عن يمينه وعن شماله" — no reference to a founding document or to Madinah | ❌ FALSE POSITIVE — wrong topic |

**Genuinely matching rows after this review (7/17):** rows 2 (ibn_hisham Treaty / Hilf al-Fudul), 3 (waqidi Judicial), 4 (waqidi Treaty conclusion), 8 (ibn_sad Hudaybiyyah), 10 (ibn_sad Written covenant — boycott scroll), 11 (baladhuri Administrative document), 17 (ibn_kathir clouds hadith — borderline, defensible).

Row 7 (ibn_kathir pos 34003, "Judgment narrative") is the borderline clouds-hadith entry that OP44 noted. The Prophet ﷺ IS present and speaking ("فقال رسول الله"), and the exchanges constitute a narrative of the Prophet ﷺ instructing companions on cosmological knowledge — this is marginally leadership-relevant. Retained as MARGINAL.

---

### ❌ D4-FAMILY: TWO ADDITIONAL FALSE POSITIVES (not caught by OP44)

OP44 retracted row 16 (wrong Khadijah). This review finds two more:

| Row | Work | Pos | Label | Actual content | Verdict |
|-----|------|-----|-------|----------------|---------|
| 3 | ibn_hisham | 86975 | "Ibn Hisham mentions Fatimah RA, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ" | Arabic: "وأمهما فاطمة بنت سعد ابن سيل أحد بنى الجدرة" — this is **Fatimah bint Sa'd ibn Sayl**, the pre-Islamic mother of Qusayy ibn Kilab and Zuhra ibn Kilab. Completely unrelated to Fatimah al-Zahra RA the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ. | ❌ FALSE POSITIVE — wrong Fatimah |
| 13 | ibn_sad | 70772 | "Ibn Sad on the household (ahl al-bayt) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in al-Tabaqat" | Arabic: "قصي على قريش السقاية والرفادة … إنكم جيران الله وأهل بيته وأهل الحرم" — "ahl bayt" here refers to the **Kaʿba** ("His house"), not the Prophet's ﷺ household. The subject is Qusayy ibn Kilab assigning the Siqaya; Prophet ﷺ is not present. | ❌ FALSE POSITIVE — wrong ahl al-bayt |

**Genuinely matching rows (17/20 after this review):** rows 1 (Khadijah RA / ibn_hisham), 2 (wives azwajuhu / ibn_hisham), 4 (ibn_ishaq on Khadijah RA), 5 (ibn_ishaq on ʿA'isha RA — marginal: she is narrator of an unrelated story but her standing as wife is the reason for inclusion), 6 (waqidi/Umm Salamah RA), 7 (waqidi/Zaynab RA), 8 (qadi_iyad/Ummahat al-Muminin), 9 (qadi_iyad/Khadijah RA), 10 (qadi_iyad/Fatimah RA — correct daughter, pos 188160), 11 (ibn_sad/wives), 12 (ibn_sad/Khadijah RA), 14 (ibn_sad/wives), 15 (tabari/ʿA'isha RA — she is named narrator, marginal), 17 (tabari/ʿA'isha RA wives), 18 (ibn_kathir/Khadijah RA), 19 (ibn_kathir/Fatimah RA — text discusses death of Adam and Noah but Fatimah's takbirs at burial are authentic content), 20 (ibn_kathir/Ummahat al-Muminin). Row 16 RETRACTED ✓.

---

### ✅ D2-SIRAH, D3-SHAMAIL, D5-TEACHING, D8-LEGACY: PASS

No additional false positives found in D2, D3, D5, or D8 sirah extracts. OP44's findings for those domains stand as PASS.

---

## CHECK 3 — TRILINGUAL PAGES (RENDER GATE)

✅ **PASS** — D1-NAMES-TITLES pages_trilingual.html read:
- Arabic: 33:45 سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ (verified as present in trilingual layout)
- Trilingual column structure confirmed present (AR · EN · UR).

D7-WORSHIP pages_trilingual.html: The education_pack.json glossary begins with the three surviving LIVE rows from the original 21 (qadi_iyad night vigil, ibn_kathir du'a, waqidi fasting). Row 18 (waqidi du'a — false positive) is also present in the glossary. The 13 OR7B live rows do not appear in the education_pack, indicating the education_pack was **not rebuilt after OR7B re-extraction**. This is a content-freshness defect (education_pack reflects a pre-repair state).

---

## CHECK 4 — HADITH DATASETS VERBATIM

✅ **PASS** — Inheriting OP44's 5/5 hadith ID verifications. No new hadith dataset files were modified since OP44's review. The edition-mismatch note for D7-WORSHIP `sunni-abudawud-765` stands from OP44 (unverifiable body, not fabricated).

---

## CHECK 5 — CLASSICAL LAYER: ß HONORIFIC (FIX-4 STATUS CHECK)

❌ **NOT FIXED** — OP44 FIX-4 (non-blocking) required replacing all "ß" with "ﷺ" in D2-SIRAH classical layer files. Verified current state of `D2-SIRAH/classical_layer_dataset.json`:

```
"subject": "Sirah — the chronology of the documented life of the Messenger ß"
"adab": "Every mention of the Prophet carries ß (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)"
"label": "The Prophet ß was born in the Year of the Elephant..."
"label": "The Prophet ß was born on Monday (yawm al-ithnayn)..."
```

The ß character substitution is confirmed still present across the `_meta` and all 12 `CL-XX` label strings. `D2-SIRAH-CHRONOLOGY/classical_layer_dataset.json` is expected to carry the same issue (not re-read; flagged for same fix). This remains a non-blocking defect.

Classical 17:1 discipline otherwise correct. Central verse assignments for all 8 domains appropriate.

---

## CHECK 6 — SHAMAIL LAYER (QUICK CONFIRM)

✅ **PASS** — OP44 verified 934 rows (manner 647, speech 49, dress 116, appearance 122). No Shamail files were modified post-OP44. Partition sums inherited as correct. No re-read needed.

---

## CHECK 7 — ATLAS COUNT RECONCILIATION

✅ **PASS (with caveat)** — OP44 verified atlas.json counts against domain files. D6-LEADERSHIP passage count in atlas records 17 total rows, which includes the 6 retracted + 4 newly-identified false positives. The atlas records raw row counts, not verified-live counts — this is expected behavior and not an atlas defect. Counts match file row counts ✓. The atlas does not claim a false-positive-free count.

---

## CHECK 8 — ADAB: PROPHET ﷺ HONORED

✅ **PASS (with ß caveat)** — All authored labels across D1–D9 sirah_extract files use full honorifics: "Muhammad ﷺ" or "the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ" or "رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" in corpus-verbatim quotes. No bare unhonorificed mention found in this review. Allah ﷻ correctly exalted in all authored fields.

The D2-SIRAH classical layer ß substitution (Check 5) is the only adab defect and is non-blocking.

---

## CHECK 9 — NO STUB ARTIFACTS

✅ **PASS** — All 8 domain directories (D1–D8) plus D9-ATLAS carry their full artifact complement (pages_trilingual.html, education_pack.json, quran_layer, hadith_layer, classical_layer, graph_layer, gates_audit). No domain is missing a required file. Note that D7-WORSHIP education_pack.json reflects pre-repair content (4 original live rows, not 16+). This is a content-freshness issue, not a stub.

---

## REQUIRED FIXES BEFORE PILLAR-COHERENT

### FIX-A (Blocking): D7-WORSHIP — Retract row 18, correct row 17, update _meta
- **Row 18** (waqidi pos 100790, label "Muhammad ﷺ making supplication"): Mark RETRACTED. The Arabic content is the Badr identification conversation, not a du'a. This is the last surviving false positive from the original 21.
- **Row 17** (waqidi pos 58551): The underlying content is correct (Prophet ﷺ fasting on the Badr march). Fix `content_check` description — replace with: "waqidi records the Prophet ﷺ fasting a day or two on the march, then breaking fast and commanding the army to break fast: 'خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فصام يوما أو يومين'."
- **_meta.passage_count**: Update to 16 (13 OR7B live + 3 surviving from original, after row 18 retraction).
- **education_pack.json**: Rebuild to include all 16 live rows, not the 4 pre-repair rows.

### FIX-B (Blocking): D6-LEADERSHIP — Retract 4 additional rows
- **Row 9** (ibn_sad pos 1069767): Retract — subject is ʿUmar's shura, not the Prophet's ﷺ.
- **Row 12** (baladhuri pos 79126): Retract — subject is ʿAbd al-Muttalib's pre-Islamic covenant.
- **Row 13** (baladhuri pos 81376): Retract — subject is a pre-Islamic arbiter (Nufayl), not Muhammad ﷺ.
- **Row 14** (ibn_kathir pos 105392): Retract — content is guardian angels (hafaza), not the Madinah document.

After FIX-B, D6-LEADERSHIP has **7 confirmed live rows** of 17 total. The domain's live sirah_extract is still substantive (7 multi-source rows across ibn_hisham, waqidi, ibn_sad, baladhuri, ibn_kathir). The quran_layer_dataset.json and education_pack.json for D6 should be rebuilt to reflect the live-only corpus.

### FIX-C (Blocking): D4-FAMILY — Retract 2 additional rows
- **Row 3** (ibn_hisham pos 86975): Retract — "Fatimah bint Sa'd ibn Sayl" is a pre-Islamic ancestor of Qusayy, not Fatimah the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ.
- **Row 13** (ibn_sad pos 70772): Retract — "ahl bayt" in this passage refers to the Kaʿba, not the Prophet's ﷺ household; subject is Qusayy, not the Prophet ﷺ.

After FIX-C, D4-FAMILY has **17 live rows** of 20 total (rows 16, 3, 13 retracted = 3 retractions).

### FIX-D (Non-blocking): OR7B REJECTED-verification rows — resolve gate failure
Seven rows in D7-WORSHIP carry `"status": "REJECTED-verification"`. The events and quoted content are historically credible but the automated content_check fragment-verification gate could not locate the fragment in the held corpus at the stated position. Options:
1. Locate the correct corpus position and update `pos` so the gate passes; OR
2. Mark these rows as permanently REJECTED and remove them from the live count.
Until resolved, these rows should not appear in education_pack.json or pages_trilingual.html.

### FIX-E (Non-blocking): D2-SIRAH classical layer — ß → ﷺ replacement
Carry forward from OP44 FIX-4. Replace all "ß" with "ﷺ" in:
- `D2-SIRAH/classical_layer_dataset.json` (_meta fields + 12 CL-XX label strings)
- `D2-SIRAH-CHRONOLOGY/classical_layer_dataset.json` (same)
