## VERDICT

> ### PILLAR-COHERENT

The no-adjudication law holds in every position row across all nine domains. Two
precision observations are recorded below; neither rises to a FIX-FIRST condition.

## THE CRITICAL CHECK — NO-ADJUDICATION LAW IN EVERY POSITION ROW

The mission's primary test: *no authored line adjudicates between documented positions.*

### D5 — Four Levels

| Position row | Adjudication found? | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 — al-ʿIlm | ✅ None | similarity/difference pattern; difference preserved unclustered |
| Level 2 — al-Kitābah | ✅ None | bada' doctrine noted as distinctive Shia position; not graded |
| Level 3 — al-Mashīʾah | ✅ None | ʿAmr bayna amrayn documented with carrier; Ashʿarī and Atharī both documented; no verdict |
| Level 4 — al-Khalq | ✅ None | kasb vs Shia agency gap documented with carriers; no verdict |
| CT-1 (Qadariyya corrective) | ✅ None | attributed to Ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنه via Muslim #93 |
| CT-2 (Jabriyya corrective) | ✅ None | attributed to al-Riḍā عليه السلام via Al-Tawḥīd #449 |
| CT-3 (fatalism corrective) | ✅ None | attributed to ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz via Abū Dāwūd #4612 |
| CT-4 (convergence note) | ✅ None | characterizes the disagreement space; no verdict on which side is right |

**_meta.method declaration:** "Positions documented, not adjudicated; similarities lead, differences preserved unclustered." — intact ✅

### D6 — Free Will (11 positions, per atlas count)

**_meta.adjudication:** "NONE. Every position carries who recorded it and where." — intact ✅

The full grep sweep for adjudication language across D6 documented_layer.json:

| Pattern searched | Matches with adjudication intent |
|---|---|
| `adjudicat` | 0 adjudicating instances (all are "never adjudicated" declarations) |
| `verdict:` | 0 |
| `is correct\.` | 0 |
| `is wrong\.` | 0 |
| `the wrong` (lines 931, 981) | Quranic term ظَالِمِينَ in tafsīr excerpts of 18:29 — NOT adjudication |
| `is right` (line 58) | Physical position in hadith text ("on his right") — NOT adjudication |
| `correct position` (line 698) | See OBS-1 below |

Line 1012 explicit: "This debate is documented but not resolved here (D6 principle: positions documented, not adjudicated)." — clean ✅

### D8 — Misconceptions (4 positions documented)

**_meta.adjudication:** "NONE. Every position carries who recorded it and where." — intact ✅

| Position | Adjudication found? | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| P1 — Qadariyya (denial of qadr) | ✅ None | Summary attributes characterisation to named transmitters; pastoral note says "the corrective **recorded in the tradition** is" |
| P2 — Jabr / fatalism | ✅ None | Prophetic correctives attributed to named chains from Muslim #6731, Abū Dāwūd #3855 |
| P3 — Adam–Mūsā debate scope | ✅ None | "Scholars of the tradition distinguished this scope carefully. Positions are documented; the scope-distinction is noted, not adjudicated." |
| P4 — Prohibition of qadar disputation | ✅ None | Ḥadīth grade disagreement (Ḥasan vs Ḍaʿīf): "grading is reported, not adjudicated." |

**Imami corrective (al-Kāfī V1 #395, al-Riḍā عليه السلام via Al-Tawḥīd #449):** Documented in D5 corrective_texts and cross-referenced in D8. The Shia condemnation of jabr is documented as the Imam's transmitted position, not the ledger's verdict. ✅

## OBSERVATIONS (not FIX-FIRST conditions)

### OBS-1 · D6 P9 Summary — Attribution Ambiguity

**Location:** `10-WAQF/build/C8-QADR/D6-FREE-WILL/documented_layer.json` · line 698 · position P9_SHIA_AMR_BAYNA_AMRAYN · `summary` field

**Text as written:**
> "...Neither absolute jabr (determinism/compulsion) nor absolute tafwid (relinquishment/free delegation). Both extremes are condemned as forms of kufr. **The correct position**: Allah ﷻ commands and prohibits, gives the capacity to obey and to refrain, yet does not compel to sin and does not leave creation to itself."

**Assessment:** In context, "The correct position" describes what the Shia tradition itself calls the correct view — the entry is explicitly labelled "Neither Compulsion nor Delegation but a Matter Between Two Matters **(Shia Tradition)**" and the _meta declares adjudication NONE. The domain selftest has passed. The phrase is not a ledger verdict. However, a reader skimming the summary without the label or _meta context could misread it as the ledger endorsing this position.

**Why not FIX-FIRST:** The surrounding context is unambiguously attributive; the law holds; the gate has passed.

**Recommended next-build fix:** Replace "The correct position:" with "The position this tradition calls correct:" or "In the Shia formulation, the sound position is:" — one word of attribution that closes the ambiguity permanently.

### OBS-2 · D5 CT-4 — Editorial Prescription in Data Layer

**Location:** `10-WAQF/build/C8-QADR/D5-FOUR-LEVELS/documented_layer.json` · `corrective_texts[3].note` field

**Text as written:**
> "...The core disagreement is on the mechanism of human agency within al-mashīʾah/al-khalq — not on the four levels themselves. **D8 should preserve this convergence before detailing the divergence.**"

**Assessment:** The phrase "D8 should preserve this convergence" is a cross-domain authorial prescription embedded in a data layer. It is not a theological adjudication. However, data layers are read by downstream builders; a workflow instruction in a data field can cause confusion about whether this is a gate requirement or an editorial preference.

**Why not FIX-FIRST:** It does not corrupt any data or adjudicate any position.

**Recommended next-build fix:** Move the prescription to the D5 SOURCES.md or to a build notes file. The note field should contain only the doctrinal observation ("The core disagreement is..."), not the workflow directive.

## FINAL VERDICT

**PILLAR-COHERENT**

The C8 Al-Qadr pillar holds its governing law. The no-adjudication principle — the hardest constraint in the entire corpus for this pillar — is intact in every position row across all three documented-positions layers (D5, D6, D8). The two observations are precision improvements for the next build cycle, not defects in the current data.
