The Qira’at — The Transmitted Readings
The Qur’an was revealed in more than one reading, and the tradition preserved them. This app reads in Hafs ʿan ʿAsim, the world’s printed standard. The full texts of Warsh and Qalun (both from Nafiʿ of Madinah) are held in the corpus, from the King Fahd Complex data.
The honest limit, stated: Warsh and Qalun follow the
Madinan verse-count, not the Kufan — so a verse number does not line up across them (Warsh’s 1:2 is Hafs’s 1:3). A correct side-by-side comparison needs the counting-system alignment, which is real future work; until then we do not print a variant count that would be false. The
seven-systems atlas already maps how the counts diverge.
